Words fail me but books enthrall

My 1st 2 developed faults with in the 1st few days, exchange not a problem,3d time lucky say's I, it was, I started slowly browsing through more books than a library, (well I thought so)id been ill with a side affect of not wanting to read, this was my chance to start doing what I loved,pick a book (white Fang)read a few lines turn it off go back to it when the mood took,now I read more not as much as I did but its gettin better & ive got lots of short stories wiating, what better incentive. My personal dislikes 1. I think the pageforward/back should be at the top out of the way,then it would'nt matter if you were right/left handed. 2nd. Fabulous, easy to use, lightweight e-book suitable for all ages

I recently bought the Kindle as a gift for my mother, but had a few days to play with it before presenting it to her. Would be better as touch screen but its functionality is still great and it's easy to use. I particularly like how easy it is to download books from Amazon. ideal night time reader

With my previous kindles the one big issue was always the night time lighting scenario. You don't want the lamp on disturbing your partner, also if traveling by plane or coach you want to be able to read when they darken the aisle without disturbing anyone or having to use a sun par clip on light. The automatic light on this paperwhite is fantastic, of course this does mean the battery does not last as long as previous non lit kindles but it still has a great battery life.
If only they could make this waterproof too for reading on the beach, at the pool or even in the bath. Previous non touch kindles you could throw in a sealed bag and still read, these touch kindles you can't because this somehow makes the touch interface glitch all over the show.
All that said, the paperwhite is definitely worth buying, it's easy on the eyes, and easily readable in all lighting conditions.Read full review...

Like having a library in your pocket!

This is the second one I have purchased. My friend saw mine and when I showed her what it offered and how easy it was to use she said that she would love to have one too,so when her husband asked me what I thought she might like for her birthday,it was a no-brainer! Huge library of books available to browse, sample and download in seconds. Light weight is ideal for those of us who suffer from arthritis and find holding books and page turning uncomfortable.I love mine and now my friend loves hers!Read full review...

Just what I wanted

Had one of these models before, took it to the USA and screen got broken, don't know how it happened. I did not want a more modern model, found this and it is great, just what I wanted. Simple to use, lightweight and a great battery life...

Light weight and easy to read

Have been reading books on my iPad but drains battery and gives me eye strain. Kindle much lighter, been using for a fortnight without charging, and downloading via WiFi very easy.

Good reader

Love the buttons to turn pages over. Can change the size and font of text, and even rotate the screen. Much prefer this to the new touch screen versions.
