Lightweight, no glare, great battery life and easy to use !

Good product and super easy to use. I've always preferred the older generation kindles as I find they last longer and are much easier to navigate . The kindle fires are good products but i find the battery life and the glare of the screen a bit annoying where as the older kindles such as the Gen 3 the screen quality and lack of glare are much easier to read and with less strain on the eyes.Read full review

Wouldn't be without

I've always had a keyboard kindle. They're so much easier than all the other kind. They have progressed over the years in a good way. I've only replaced mine when I've had an accident with it. They are thoroughly reliable. I just want my kindle to read books. If I wanted anything else I'd take my tablet out with me. I can take it anywhere and it fits in my handbag. It holds so many books, pdf's and magazines even travel stuff. It's great.Read full review

Amazon Kindle with keyboard

I am passionate about my keyboard kindle! I first got this model a few years ago and took it travelling with me, nose glued to it at every opportunity and heartbroken when I dropped it and half the screen went black!
However, all was not lost - I found a repairman back in UK, but after I had bought a newer more digital version which I do not like nearly so much as it does not have the side clip buttons for turning the pages, and is not so easy to hold with one hand lying in bed.
I bought this with 150 books via eBay for less than half the cost of repair just in case I should ever find myself in the same situation!

Kindle Keyboard 3 Rules OK.

I love the original Keyboard Kindles as they are versatile, play music, are easy to fix and even browse the web at a push.

This one needed the software seriously updating and had to be "bricked" using "Kubrick" but once that menu driven process had been done and the later Amazon updates added it sprang into life and is a perfect example in barely used codition. These are a classic and worth investing £20 or so in if you use Kindle readers. Many just need te software updating and even new screens can be obtained now from China in 10 days.An Ebay supplier also regulalry advertises motherboards.Read full review

The original and the best

Good, clean product with no damage. I specifically wanted the keyboard version of Kindle but it is now quite old and this particular one had not been updated with the latest software so I was unable to register it. After some research I found the correct Kindle help pages and was able to manually download the updates and was finally able to register. I'm not sure that everyone is aware of this so it would be handy for people to add it to the description when selling with out-of-date software. Lots of storage space and easy to use.Read full review

It's a great little device

Like I put its a great little device for reading in bed with its not to heavy and it's easy to hold in one hand. I feel the only drawback is if you don't use a lamp you can't see the words but you can get it to read to you insteadRead full review

Better than expected

I have changed back to this after buying the newest kindle. The new models cant be seen in the sunshine, so sold my new one & went back to this one as it can be used outdoors , even in full sunshine.

Easy to use.

Much prefer this old type rather than the touch screen,as you can,t easily turn the page etc like you can easily do on the more modern ones.

Kindle Keyboard is he bees knees

I have always found the kindle keyboard to be the best of the kindles. It is easy to use, has a built-in speaker and has a good battery life. Value for money.

I have tried the paperwhite and was very disappointed - lasted less than 2 years, and difficult to navigate, and very expensive. The only thing the papewhite has over the keyboard is the backlight.
