Poor effort

I bought this item specifically to remove the upholstery on a seat base, which was stapled on.
I had used a blunt knife, but this was hard on the hands.
I placed the order and put the job on hold.
The item arrived quickly enough but on opening the packaging I saw that the point was not sharp enough to get under the staples which were firmly in place holding the material to the wood.
I had to resort to using the knife again and have the scars on my hands to show for it.Read full review...

excellent value staple remover

Very good value, sturdy with decent handle. Problem is the end that levers the staple up is too thick. I found it much easier using a bradawl as a lever and then the staple remover to lift the staple out.Read full review...

Not fit for purpose..

If I could give this no stars, I would. As others have stated, the end is too thick to get under a staple. Others had to use a bradall, I used a small flat headed screwdriver instead. De-Staple

At first this was very fiddly to use and I did wonder if I would ever get the hang of it. But perseverance won out and by the time I was on my second chair I had got it.
