easy replacement

Easy replacement for broken plastic head. Old one broke at rivet fixing. Best to use proper rivet and a washer to protect new plastic from hammer impact which might weaken the area.

Arrived late, blame Yodel! Also placed in Garage as nominated but not in a very obvious place! Unfortunately despite care in shaping handle to fit; (I turned handle exactly to fit the inside diameter) it cracked when fitting. My fault probably for using Gorilla glue as it expands on setting to fill any gaps. Two small screws made it secure, so not too bad.
Still feels pretty robust, but would have been better if polypropylene or similar instead of a fairly brittle plastic.

Lightweight fork handle

My old handle broke and the new one is just the job. It was easy to fit and the fork is now as good as new.

better than buying a new spade

Would have been nice if it had come with the rivet required to fix it to the shaft. You may also need to whittle the spade/fork or whatever. shaft down to get it to fit.

Strong handle

The original handle broke while digging in very heavy clay. It was an easy job to replace requiring slight reshaping of the wooden shaft and then two small screws through the handle into the shaft. Five minutes then back to the clay!Read full review...

OK but

Replaced handles on two forks, one old and one newish. Replacement handles were small for both of them and they required quite some work to fit. Not convinced that they will last long as they seem very flexible.Read full review...

We'll see ...

It's difficult to review a product which you hasn't passed the test of time.
However, on first impression, it doesn't appear to be very sturdy, and flexes a bit .... maybe that's good? We'll see!

Good

Exactly as described. Not had chance to fit it yet but no reason to suspect it will not be good for the job. Couple of seams might need to be sanded for comfort.

As an 80 yr old didn’t fancy ‘breaking in’ a new one.
A replacement rivit to fix it in place would have been an inexpensive addition!
Job done, works well.
