Perfect Replacement
I managed to snap the shaft of an elderly and much loved spade. Rather than throw the wreckage away I searched for a replacement shaft and found this product on line. It arrived in good time and, wonder of wonders, the taper end did NOT need dressing to fit the old socket - it was a perfect fit, so I am very pleased. Let down by quality control .
The shaft of this handle is not round but oval , so it doesan't fit into the spade blade properly , also the handle was loose .
I could have sent it back but I couldn't wait . After a lot plaining and araldite ,I made it fit. I supose for £8 pounds odd including postage, one can't expect a lot .Read full review...

Replacement Wooden Shaft
Sadly the plastic handle cracked during fitting and it wasn't down to any major abuse. I simply shaped the shaft to fit the spade head like a glove and one tap to the handle to seat it with a rubber mallet was enough to break it.
