Purchased this BMW specific scanner to do some DIY jobs when needed, battery coding rear pad change, service reset etc.
Reason I have marked down a star is that I changed rear pads before I purchased this using Youtube help video ref winding back electric park brake
Then when BM700 arrived tried to clear fault code for rear pads using the scanner but would not clear so again used another YT clip info to do (ref the 3 press ignition button into diag mode) might be me not using correctly, will get used to in time certainly lots of info on there.

Read a lot about scanners in general, as I have 2 bmw,s. a friend has 2 also. We needed a scanner to i/d faults, which we could rectify ourselves. We think that this tool will cover what we need, an tell us what we can repair,upgrade, and what we cannot. Easy to use, plugged in and followed the instructions and registered my new battery in a few minutes. My friend worked out the throttle problem he had, and can repair it. Been worth every penny.
