Lovely nostalgia with Sally, Auntie and the lads!

Lovely, nostalgic viewing. I started watching this show when it began - when I was very young indeed! Wendy Craig's Sally character had great comic appeal, and was also very loveable - as was Valerie Lush's Auntie - dependable, but not without a fun side. The two lads created just the right amount of chaos! Later stories with David and his daughter were also very enjoyable, although it was a shame Auntie faded from the show towards the end. Nice, middle class, inoffensive comedy of yesteryear - with some great characters and lots of warmth. Great to see it again - and this time in colour (my family didn't have a colour TV set until 1983!).Read full review...
