Andrew James 1400w Portable Electric Wok Non-stick Stir Fry Frying Pan

Quick heat up and table friendly with an easy clean up.

'Wow' This wok was super quick and so easy to use. It heats up and down quickly and if you switch off and pull the plug you can present it at table for serving - so convenient.
We have cooked all sorts in it since we've had it and it's so good I bought one for my daughter too.
I have used oils and butter in it cooking and browning onions, garlic and vegetables then turn down to slower cook as need be. If you have to cook something for 10 or so minutes pit the lid on.
I have made a pocket size bag for the cable and plugs because even thought the Teflon coating is thick and tough putting plugs in it to store will chip it. I have saved the plastic plug cover that comes with it and have a piece of rubber tube to go on the thermostat probe the two bits are connected with a piece of string and the lot goes in the bag.

It's a NO from me.

It's get hot very fast which is a good thing. But the lowest heat mode is number 1 but it's still quite high and strong. Not very good for simmering because it will get burnt. Maybe for deep frying it would be ok. But I didn't buy this Electric Wok just to use it for deep frying. And the coat of nonstick isn't very good. I've used mine 3 times and been using the wooden spatula it came with but the nonstick coating on the flat bottom part is getting damaged. I think it's because of the heat is very strong even on number 1 mode. I wash it with soapy wet sponge to avoid damaging the nonstick coating but the heat coming from the bottom part of the Wok is causing damage to it. I don't recommend this at all. Disappointed with the non stick not working as it should, burns very quickly. Can't use it above heat setting 1 for this reason. Maybe I've had a faulty one as other reviews apart from one other seem happy with their purchase. Wouldn't buy another.Read full review
