Buying your new Apple Wireless Keyboard on eBay can also make sense if you scope out the auctions carefully, decide what you are willing to pay, and drop your bid in at the last moment to avoid "auction fever"-- an ailment eBay's corporate associates and eBay's stockholders at would be happy to see you contract.

Not for serious typists
I ordered this to replace my existing Apple keyboard which came with my MacPro because it was terrible to type on. This turned out to have the same "chiclet" sort of keys. It is okay if you don't type much text and work in other ways, but if you write heavily it is not very good. The keyboard on my MacBookPro is far better.
As far as other features it connects to bluetooth seamlessly and there are no communication problems. I am going to use it now with a MacMini on my TV because it is useless for word processing. The "value" from Apple's store price is awful as with most of their products, but the vendor did have it much cheaper. Read full review...

I have received this item safely at my address. I have tried it out and so far it works well, hopefully it will last a long time. I think this product is very good for typing, the keyboard feels soft and the layout also fits my fingers so I can type even with my eyes closed. I bought this keyboard because I had gotten used to the keyboard on my MacBook Pro. I like the short travel of the keys, and yet they have definite tactile feedback that lets me feel when I have pressed a key. Because of this, I am able to type faster on this keyboard, and with fewer mistakes than with the more usual computer keyboards. I bought this to use with my iPhone 6 Plus, and my iPad mini, hoping that it would provide the same feel as the MacBook keyboard. using a owc mercury elite pro mini with a c-1,2nd gen thunderbolt outlet (need ac apapter as
the hub has just enough power for bus .and that way you don’t lose a port , then the thunder cable to 2012 mid MBP it does drop the speed
which is about 7-8 go/s much better then

Best of Both Worlds!
My reason for buying the keyboard was so I could raise my Macbook Pro off the table and have the screen be at a better viewing height. I also bought an adjust laptop stand and a bluetooth mouse, which turned my laptop into a desktop computer for the 85% of the time I use it as such.

Simple, Classic Apple Keyboard and Trackpad
Setting these up with a Mac is a breeze! The keyboard is slim and takes up very little real estate on a desk, and the trackpad is slick and reliable on all interactions-- clicks, taps and gestures.

Pretty on the eye and easy to set up, I also like its light-weight feel. My one gripe is its size, just a bit too small ( by 5%?) for an old-timer like me who learned how to type on a non-electric typewriter. It slows me down a little bit. I do like that this takes two batteries. I've got another keyboard, just about the same size, that takes three. This keyboard lasted many years for me.
