Great for the DIYer

This is a box for the DIYer.
They are at min 7 years old now.
I bought this one as failed.. it arrived working.. but could fail again very soon.
There is a fix.. oven bake the board. Google for more info.
For Mac users who are on older OS and want a cheap network target for Time Machine.. it works great and I expect to keep it running a few more years.
Note I prefer this model over the next AC model, A1470 which are built so poorly it is difficult to work on them. These are build solidly and easy to work on.
You can also put up to 8TB disk in it.
So have fun. Don't pay too much.Read full review

Bought this to store back ups of all my back ups. Apart from occasional drop outs on ethernet, I am finding this a great item to have as it can be accessed from all my technologies wirelessly.

Slight complicated to set up as router but simple if used as dedicated HDD for back up through Apple Time Machine program on ios
