Excellent platform, true potential

With a few basic upgrades this platform has become a strong performer.
Installing a SATA III hard drive gave most of the performance boost. Next was memory upgrade to 16GB and lastly a CPU swap to an I7-2600K.

Great value even at it's age.

This may be an old machine but it's perfectly usable with a huge 27" screen. I am a computer programmer and find more than enough power. I would imagine with a SSD upgrade(easier on these older models) you could easily have a machine that will edit music and 1080 videos, I wouldn't think it would cope with 4k.Read full review
