Excellent IPad mini

I bought this for my husband as he kept mini tied up constantly!! He rarely puts it down. It really helps with the tv remote as he will occupy himself on the pad, and I can watch what I want. It looks brand new no dings or scratches! It came with a nice cover & I purchased a screen cover for it. I also ordered a set of over the ear headphones for him so he doesn't interrupt watching Tv or phone calls! We lov it.Read full review...

Sorry not sorry

I got these after minimal research. All I really wanted to know was what kind of charger Iā€™d need. I figured that out, figured they were functional and called it good. They got here super quick, so that was great, (especially since my kids got sick the day before the iPads arrived).
If youā€™re thinking thereā€™s always a catch, youā€™re right. And I didnā€™t even think to checkā€¦ the 1st gen iPads are no longer supported by Apple. So very few apps are compatible. That is my ONLY regret. But, I got them for a 4 and 7 yo, whoā€™s previous tablets would never stay connected to the WiFi. When all was said and done, they support ABCmouse and stay connected to WiFi and were relatively inexpensive. Thatā€™s all I really wanted. Soā€¦

Iā€™m sorry I didnā€™t realize they are no longer supported by Apple, but Iā€™m not sorry I bought them.

In my opinion best ipad

I love this generation of iPad, it's small compact and great quality. Has everything a current iPad has plus lighting port. After purchasing I looked for a case and there's to many great version to pick at a great price point. Speakers are loud enough to play music in a room. I had to play music at a concert off the iPad and had no problem with audio quality playing. Do your self a favor and buy this iPad and be the coolest kid on the block.Read full review...

if you already work with apple products, this tablet is a good choice.

I've gone through several tablets and it's always come down to the fact that I already own an iMac and have used various other apple products. That being said, there is no hassle with having to install 3rd party applications to sync and connect my computer to other devices. In the end, I jumped on a deal for this very lightly used iPad mini, which I am using to custom build an entertainment center. The iPad/iPod touch iOS is a very user-friendly interface that's simple to use for just that.Read full review...

Perfect item and highly recommended!

Very great starting tablet. In my experience with my first ipad (iPad 2) this one surpasses it with camera, of course with a isight 5mp but also with comfort. With its 7.9 inch display I can easily hold it without doing hand gymnastics and without worrying of dropping it. Great condition and makes the experience better with ios 7. Im on my ipad more than my computer other than making music but I use this ipad along with my sets in clubs and perfect for sampling with Traktor DJ. Highly recommended for beginners in the tablet industry because Apple has experience in making tablets. Battery is amazing! The only dislike for this item is the fact there arnt many accessories for lightning cable yet but display is perfect as well retina display would be good but no tablet is perfect!Read full review...

Everything the iPad has in a much better size and for a much better price.

I was an AT&T customer since 1999 until Oct. 1st,
2011. I could never afford a smartphone. For 1 person it's $69.99 just for unlimited voice, $20.00 for text, and $50.00 for 5 GB of data with mobile hotspot. With taxes and fees that's well over $150.00/month for a smartphone. I mention the
$50.00 plan with the hotspot feature vs the 3 GB plan for $30.00 because that's key to my review. Verizon is the same price and even Sprint's $99.00
unlimited plan is not only an extra $10.00 for
smartphones but $29.99 for the hotspot feature. So
all 3 companies are $140.00/month before taxes and
fees. T-Mobile has value plans that none of the Big 3 companies have. They're the same as the classic plans that offer a free subsidized phone
but you buy your own phone and get $20.00/month off the plan. Well, for a 2 year contract that's $480.00. You can buy a pretty nice phone for that kind of money and the rate keeps on going even after the 2 years. Now I understand that not everyone has the money for a non-subsidized phone
but you can get an Android phone for a lot less then an iPhone. AS much as I love the iPad I hate
the iPhone. I need a slideout keyboard and I have the HTC MyTouch 4G Slide from T-Mobile. Greatest phone I've ever used, and I've tried every slider phone from both AT&T and T-Mobile. I Have 2 extra batteries for my phone. I have a memory card. And
the keyboard. The iPhone has none of these. So my
plan with T-Mobile is $74.99/month. Unlimited
everything and mobile hotspot. 5 GB of 4G but never a data overage. 2G after the 5 GB. That's 500 MB. I've never used anything close to that. I get a 15% corporate discount with Prudential which
basically covers the taxes and fees. I know they have unlimted 4G for 5 bucks less but no hotspot with unlimted 4G. Onto the Mini. I have a wifi only iPad 2 that my sister will now inherit. I don't know how Apple does it. Next to each other
the iPad looks huge. But using it I don't notice the difference in screen size. The wifi only model
is $130.00/month less then the wifi + cellular
model. And the mobile hotspot basically costs me
$15.00/month since I could easily get away with the 2 GB $59.99 plan if I didn't need the mobile hotspot. But that's still less then any stand alone tablet plan. My mom has prepaid 1 GB/month
from Verizon for her iPad and it's 20 bucks. If you want a cellular iPad Verizon does have the best rates. But I notice absolutely no drop off in
performance with the mobile hotspot. And if my cable goes out at home I just use my laptop with the mobile hotspot. So being able to buy a wifi only model is both an upfront savings and a monthly savings. I'm surprised that the prices on
eBay are as much or higher as from Apple. Wifi
only 16 GB is $329.00. With tax for me it's $348-
and change. It's strange that before the holidays
they were going in the $200-$300 range on eBay.
1 guy sold a brand new 1 for $175.00. I wanted to cry. He was a kid who said it was a gift and he needed the money right away. I got mine the same way since it's just after Christmas now but not for that price. Still saved me $30.00. Received as
a gift and they already had iPhones and iPads. It
literally performs identically to the iPad 2 wifi
only for less money. The iPad with Retina display
is a lot more money, but if I wasn't satisified with the Mini's performance I would have spent it.
The Mini with Retina display should be out in Oct.
But I don't notice a difference. It's an amazing
iPad.

The first tablet i consider portable, and therefore a useful one.

I love the mini.

I really do.

Ok so here goes. I have been looking for a new tablet and bear in mind I have had quite a few. The full size ipads, the Note 10.1, And a Nexus 7. Although they have all had there perks it wasn't until i got the mini that i truly enjoyed one for long periods of time. It does everything i could ask of it. It is so portable it's ridiculous. During the cold months one can easily just slip it into a coat pocket and have instant entertainment no matter where you go. And in the warmer months I can slip it in my back pocket or toss it in a bag with my other stuff. The display is awesome no matter what people say about the retina display, there comes a point where it really doesn't matter. I do not really like the speaker placement I have always thought they should be front facing like on the HTC one and the Note 10.1 but I am mostly using headphones so it really is not an issue. And secondly do not bother with a mini case that has a keyboard unless you have tiny hands it will not be comfortable at all. So if you really need a keyboard get a full size bluetooth one and i promise your hands will thank me! But what i really enjoy about it is the light weight. No other tablet really comes close (except the nexus 7) and while it may be lighter there is no denying the premium feel of an iPad mini. Buyers Remorse is definitely not an issue with this tablet. All in all it is a remarkable tablet so i recommend you save your bucks on the retina version and scoop up a steal on Ebay!Read full review...

Virtually identical to ipad air and mini w/ retina, but $100-$200 less.

The ipad mini runs beautifully on iOS7. Apps are very smooth and fluid. The app store is an upgrade over the iphone's app store - not as much navigating and much more information is displayed on one page.

Camera and video quality is great as always. One lesser known fact is that the video and camera is just about equivalent to its two successors: the ipad air and the ipad mini w/ retina. So you pay $100-$200 less for the same picture quality. The only difference (aside for cosmetics) is the processor chip. The mini runs on the A5 while the other two runs on A6 and A7(?). However, the performance that comes from the A5 is virtually the same for the average user. If you buy an ipad for kids or family use, the mini will be just fine for much cheaper.

In regards to cosmetics, the ipad mini can feel lackluster in terms of personality. It's very thin, light and that's the end of it. Not a lot of flashiness. It can feel fragile too, and I would 100% recommend buying a leather case with the mini.
