It does need to be liked to speakers for good sounds. I bought it for my car and only use it for music. Don't know about battery life as it recharges on the car when in use.

just what I wanted

I have bought a lot of cheep Ipod's on Ebay and all of them had a memory or technical issue. my sister bought this Ipod when it first came out and she still uses it today so i thought i would give it a go. I have to say that I only use it for music purposes and I find it fantastic, douse exactly what it says on the tin and hold all of my music library.
