Genuine as works without connecting to Bluetooth

Worth it, as the fake or unbranded versions and cheap alternatives need to be connected to Bluetooth every time if not most times you plug them in. The genuine ones I had originally never needed to and this one is the same.

I use Bluetooth headphones most of the time but when I just want to plug in standard earphones and not carry around big over head headphones these do the job.

Doesn't work properly

There's a horrible static sound whenever I use this with my normal headphones. Audio will also cut out randomly and you have to kind of jiggle the adapter to get it to come back. I've given up on it and have ordered a genuine apple one instead, so would not recommend this.Read full review...

this product is not genuine and doesn’t work properly. looks genuine at first but when compared to apples own adapter it’s clear it’s not. also able to tell by the volume - listening with a genuine adapter allows normal volume but listening with this one causes the lowest available volume to be extremely loud. overall very disappointed and will be asking for a full refund.

Only works for short period of time after purchase

Wasn’t a genuine one could tell by the thickness of the cable compared to ones made by apple when I received the product. Started playing up after a couple of days and had a buzzing noise when used, my phone is not faulty as other products made by apple or other manufacturers work fine.Read full review...

Please save your money.

I used it for 20 minutes and then the internal wires started to go dodgy and music would no longer play. Then when I got home the entire piece split into 2 and the internal wires had been severed.. quality is poor and even when they worked it made a buzzing sound.
