Works well with iPhone and iPad and has NOW TV app built in.

If you have Apple kit then this is very useful. You can view your iPhone on TV (mirroring) and show individual photos and videos as well.

The only UK service I have seen is NOW TV which is great for me as I can turn off that separate box.

You have access to iCloud photos and your music on iTunes. You can rent and buy movies from Apple as well.

No WiFi? Apple TV 3rd gen A1469 is perfect for mirroring Netflix/BBC content from iPhone using 4G

Works perfectly playing Netflix from an iPhone onto your TV when you have no WiFi. It also works well with BBC iPlayer.

However, the ITV Hub app can't mirror content from the iPhone/Mac to the 3rd gen Apple TV. The ITV app explained that it can only mirror content from the iPhone/Mac if using the fourth generation (or above) version of Apple TV.

Fingers crossed that any updates to the BBC/Netflix Apps don't compromise compatibility with the 3rd gen version.

Note that the previous 3rd Gen version of Apple TV A1427 can't mirror any content from iPhone/Macs. Make sure it's the A1469 version.Read full review...

Good little apple tv

I like it because it supports 1080p mirroring and streaming unlike the 2nd generation. I can also use bluetooth keyboard.

No wifi

I bought this for my son as he has just moved out. We tried for several days to link this up with his Wi-fi but it wouldn’t connect I swapped my one with my son and he managed to link up with Wi-fi 1st time. I purchased the Apple TV to compliment my I pad and I phone. I do not use net flicks etc, however the way it can be used to wifi connect and stream your photos or movies to your television is great.
