A DIY challenge to fit...here are some tips ....

I bought the 15 litre version of this heater to serve two adjacent sinks. The heater is very efficient the thermostat is best set on the lower setting otherwise water is very hot indeed. Fitting it in a small space was a challenge. My installation required the expansion vessel but not the pressure reducing valve. The plastic screw on the fittings that come with the heater are supplied with one rubber washer for the connection on to the heater inlet and also outlet. The big problem is what comes next....those same plastic fittings are then threaded into half inch standard plumbing fittings. The physical gap between the plastic thread and the end stop of the brass fittings is very large, probably 5mm. I tried various traditional ways of sealing this gap, ptfe won’t work due to the huge amount you will need, so Ariston’s video on line is totally misleading. I eventually used two half inch diameter rubber washers to pack out the difference, nothing else worked including 4 fibre washers packed in !. Also mounting the heater on the wall with the bracket supplied is somewhat optimistic. The heater itself weights about 3kgs, then add 15 litres of water you are hanging 18Kgs on the small hooks into the plastic moulding on the back of the heater. I built a small wooden support bar to support the front of the heater and this also held the heater level. The brackets alone wouldn’t hold the heater properly straight anyway, it tended to hang “down” off the wall even without any water in it. If you haven’t enough expansion pipe in your supply system the expansion vessel is necessary. Again a good rubber washer in the half inch brass fitting works a treat. Anything else just leaks due to the pressure in the joint. Very good luck, allow plenty of time for the project !. Read full review...

Have to say I found the appliance to be rubbish as it failed to work, have wasted a lot of time having to have heater disconnected, reboxed & returned

All in all this appliance has just cost me time and money

Water heater

Great product for the price. Less than two years old. Fraction of the price I would have had pay for new.

I would recommend

If you are fitting the 15L model you need to note as the instructions state it needs to be fitted under building regulations
So if you intend to fit yourself the 10L would be ok but not the 15L
