I am a newbie to car polishing machines. I have neither had a cheaper nor a more expensive one than this, so I looked at reviews. This machine is very easy to use, with a good variation of speeds, giving good results. I have only used it for polishing/waxing, never used it yet for compounds/restoration of colour. Orbital Polisher
The polisher is good for the money and works ok but the backing plate that comes with the 5 sponges don't fit as its for the threaded type and not the type that is held on with an Allen key, and you don't seem to be able to buy smaller backing plates that fit this machine, the torq22D 5" that will fit but you would have to trim a couple of mm off the plastic at the back of the machine at the back of where the backing plate fits to the machine, So if you need a new or different sizes of backing plate your going to struggle , but if you do find some backing plates please do share

It's as good as if not better than £400-£600 polisher I've used in the 20+ years I've been cutting and polishing vehicles.
