Great Item. Exact replacement to my existing Fire Alarms.

Perfect replacement for my existing Fire Alarms that were over 13 years old. Exact fit, and were manufactured a couple months ago. Came with dust covers, instructions, mounting plates, connection wires, and a battery that had protective strips so that the battery stays fresh. Remember that the life span is only 10 years on detectors. At 12 years old, our old ones were acting erratic. We bought these to replace. They were very easy to replace. Took me less than 45 minutes to change all 5. Tested and worked great. No need to overpay at big box retailers. These are quality name brand. Keep your family safe and change them every 10 years. Our house as most houses so, had a dedicated circuit in the breaker box. Don't forget to throw the breaker before starting and then reset when finished.Read full review

Replaced my 12 year old smoke detectors with these units. Because my units were old/different, I had to rewire every one. This was easy and new wires were included with each one. Rewired, installed, engaged battery backup(batteries are included), switched power back on and we were good to go. Smoke Detector Replacement

This product was ordered to replace an earlier model installed in my home in 2001. This is a hard wired detector with plug-in on back of detector, same as my older model. It takes less than 5-minutes to unplug, remove old detector & mounting ring and put up new mounting ring and connect detector to existing plug-in wiring. No modifications required. Unit comes with 9V battery already installed in unit. The easiest replacement process I've ever had with a smoke detector, hard wired or not. Quick to install, works great

I was hoping these were 100% compatible with my old BRK detectors that were occasionally chirping from just age. Turns out the mounting rings were not compatible, but the mounting holes for the rings were, so just loosening those two screws and swapping plates worked. The mounting connector was the same. Replaced older smoke detector, works well.

We had an older BRK smoke detector and looked up the model number, BRK 9120B was the replacement model. New model fit the same screw holes and electric plug as the old model so reinstallation was a snap. Comes with detector unit and an installation plate. The new plate and old plate seem to be identical so we could have left the old one in but the color was faded. New unit came with a battery pre-installed, just have to pull a plastic tab to expose the contacts; smoke detector fired up and tested right away.
