It does the job but do a practice set up on a short lenth of pipe first

Pro's: easy to read pressure providing you have good light. Simple to set up (apart from water filling - see "con's"
Con's: Getting correct water level (at the "zero" position very awkward; you go over then under etc.. My tip; get a small plastic syringe to top up water.
"Bulb" type pump leaked air from small non-return valve at rear of bulb and caused test failure leading to complete strip down of soil pipe assembly until I found the cause.
