Boring but not bad

I'm not particularly fond of "parts-formers" type transforming toys- where they deliberately separate into a bunch of small individual pieces, rather than staying as a single piece and moving around like a Rubik's Cube and require THINKING on the part of the user.
On the flip side, parts-formers allow more customization in terms of where you place those same parts.

That said, I do NOT recommend getting the TigerLance just by itself, because it is not very engaging by itself, and is so obviously intended to work with the other toys from the "Ryusoulger" line, specifically the humanoid robos DX KishiryuOh, DX Kishiryu Neptune, DX YokuryuOh, and movie-exclusive repaint DX KishiryuJin.
The paint applications- sparse and minimalist as they are- are well applied, the hard ABS plastic is of good quality and shaping, ratcheting hip joints are nice and tight, and the LEGO stud-inspired connections are sufficient to hold it together nicely.

Kids will love it no matter what, but adult collectors who have been with the Super Sentai Series brand for many years already may shrug and just say "meh".
