Great Product
I have heard great things about the 1st generation of this product, and then the 2nd generation came out so went for that instead.
The + points:
Good design.
Very clear audio with lots of volume.
The bass is out of this world considering the size.
Perfect for conference calls as well as music.
Good connectivity.
Android app.

Seriously Good Value Hi-fi & Highly Tunable - Fantastic In Two Speaker Stereo Pairing Mode
This is a fantastic used buy (Bought Jan 2023). So affordable now that I bought two 1st Gen A1s to have paired L & R dedicated channel stereo! Uneconomic to do new but a steal for around 2 x 35% new price for 4 -5 year old for Gen 1s (2016-19), or 2 x 50% new price for Gen 2 (2020-).
The reviews rate the Gen 2 more user friendly but some prefer the slightly deeper bass of the Gen 1 as its purely mono rather than twin tweeters for 'stereo' but you really need them a few feet apart for proper stereo anyway. Both must be the same Generation of course. Still great in single mono use though.
I'd give it 4.5 stars if possible, as the Beoplay iPhone app is a bit clunky for pairing but does work. You may prefer to use physical wiring (A few £s for an iPhone to 3.5mm connector & stereo to L&R 2m cable), for a lossless music connection, only on the 1st Gen though as 2nd Gen has no 3.5mm socket but there may be work-arounds using the USB-C sockets instead.
The 'Coup de Gras' is the customisable 'Sound Modes' option in the app, with bass & treble management like tone controls on a home stereo amp. I tone down the bass for loud use and up it a little compared to the default 'Optimal' for low volume listening. Best suited to indoor use rather than the ubitquitous publicity shot cliche 'Pool Parties' but hey, I don't have a pool just a tub and it kicks real a*se in my tiled bathroom!Read full review...

B&O A1 2nd Gen - awesome speaker!
A1 is still one of the best small form Bluetooth speaker with amazing (in the context of its size) sound qualities and dare I say Bass! Quality lanyard is stylish and great for hanging the A1 from a branch or door handles whilst working.
It’s unfortunate the A1 1st gen and A1 2nd gen cannot be connected to create stereo soundstage. You will need two A1 2nd gen if you want stereo!

Excellent product
Looking at reviews, this speaker was hyped as being one of the best speakers in its category. Even though it's portable and relatively small, it does not disappoint! Great speaker!

Expensive but worth for me
Satisfying sound that encourages you to listen even if it's not the most neutral.
Top metal shell and bottom rubber shell aren't both lined up perfectly and for the price it should probably be spot on but it's such a minor nitpick. Read full review...
