Good for light jobs but not for historic established paint.

Bought this to strip a radiator which already had flaking loose paint. Took off the top layer but left a lot behind. 2 applications and a lot of time and wire brushing still left a lot behind. The mess and the fumes are incredible so take care wit that. This is probably good for a layer of 2 or spray paint which hasn't been there thing. Since Methylene Chloride was banned, it's been difficult to find an effective paint stripper - but I'm glad to say that this stuff is almost as effective, and certainly safer to use. It needs to be applied as thickly as possible and then left for an hour before the softened paint can be scraped off.

I'm glad I brought this stripper it works quite well on a louvre door that has about 15 years worth of paint. Does not remove all layers in on but a few applications should do the job.

Old time varnish too tough for it

Didn't touch the old varnish, had to clean it off and sand instead. Haven't used it on paint so it may perform better....or not.
