Looks more expensive than it was.
I bought and fitted this for a friend. Price was not necessarily a consideration but this seat looked as good as more expensive ones. Good features are the soft closing and the fact that the hinges are enclosed, which makes cleaning easier. Fitting was very easy, though I used the soft plastic bushes from the old seat to ensure a stable and secure fixing. It would be a good idea to include this sort of bush in the package.Read full review

Brain tester.
Its a stylish toilet seat(if there is such a thing). It came without fitting instructions and as it is not the normal type of bathroom toilet fittings you do have to use your brain. I had to trim down to 2 push in fittings to fit the 2 holes in the toilet at the back, as these were to big. But once done it looked the part! You will need a sharp Stanley knife for the plastic trimming.Read full review

Loo seat represents great value for money as it is definitely soft and slow close. However, the seat does have marks on it that look like they were formed when the plastic was pressed into the seat shape. So builders broke one, finally got round to replacing it from eBay as I just never seemed to have time to get to Wickes (other DIY stores are available).
Worried it might be a bit, cheap and flimsy, but no. If anything, it's a more sturdy part than that that was replaced and the soft close is certainly better.

I feel that the advertised description is misleading as It feels flimsy and light rather than ‘heavy duty’. The ‘slow soft close’ works well, but the lightweight plastic construction is not ‘luxury’. The flimsy plastic fixing bolts keep loosening off and need to be retightened, frequently slipping and wobbling. I would not buy this product again.Read full review

It's okay, but nothing special
The seat itself isn't bad quality, but the fixings allow the seat to move slightly when you sit down; this leads to the seat suddenly dropping partly into the bowl. It's a small drop, and only means that the seat supports have slipped into the rim, but it's a bit of a shock when it shifts when you're sitting on it.
