1966 Batman is cool and witty.
A rich vein of humour keeps the film buoyant and enjoyable as
Batman and his stoic ward Robin fight against four of his most memorable adversaries - The Riddler, The Joker, The Penguin and Cat Woman. The fun premise is helped enormously by the vivacity of the performances, the cool gadgetry and the self aware wit. Nelson Riddle's theme is as cool as the Batmobile, the Batcopter, the Batcycle and the Batboat. A very enjoyable film that is everything cool and fun about 60s scriptwriting. Very much recommended.Read full review

Fun, fun & more fun. The actors were having holy lots of it & it's comes through well
Not so different from the TV series. I had just finished enjoying watching ALL the TV shows, so had to get the only movie. It really wouldn't have been the same without those 2 guys playing it how they did! The only shortcoming with the movie was that it seemed short to me. I could have sat through at least another hour of this fun.Read full review

"Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"
Having just watched and loved the '66 series I had to have the film.
I'd remembered it since I was a kid and it was just a joy to see it again. Filmed in the heyday of the series, unlike many film adaptations it sticks close to the spirit and in a brilliant move includes all the super villains as the (dis)'united underworld.'
All the greats are there, Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, Burgess Meredith as the penguin, Cesar Romero as the joker, Frank Gorshin as the Riddler, and although the beautiful Julie Newmar was un-available, Lee Merriweather stepped in and made a great Catwoman.
In short if you like the series, you'll LOVE the film.Read full review

"Some days you just can't think of a review title"
This is a bit like marmite (a salty yeast spread for those not in the UK), you either love it or hate it. It's a great trip down memory lane, When I was 8 this was deadly serious, but now I can laugh at the over-acting and the one liners - "Holy film review Batman", "Yes old chum". And now the grandchildren are watching it with me :).Read full review

Typical corny over the top 60's kids stuff with the best batmobile ever. I remember it well. Love it.
