Have learnt a valuable lesson about buying non-genuine parts for boilers. Buy a genuine Baxi diverter valve cartridge that comes with a metal body rather than this cheap and nasty third rate cartridge that substitutes plastic for most of the metal of the original version.Read full review...

diy fix at a good price

part looked different from my original diverter valve , but after a quick google realised this is a newer improved brass version , ( original was plastic and a common failure issue ) fitted new part and working in about 30mins . looked at a how to fit video on web first , which saved me from making a mistake fitting .. Splendid Main Eco boiler diverter valve

To install the new diverter valve proved to be an easy task and took less than a minute. More time was taken up draining part of the system before removal of the old valve and then re-filling and pressurising the system again plus bleeding off any trapped air. The screeching noise that the old diverter valve made has now completely vanished and I have ordered a spare valve for future use, knowing that this valve is just perfect for the job.Read full review...

New design replacement for bad Baxi original design.

You may be confused when looking for this part as there are 2 variants, however this is the part you should be using to replace the diverter cartridge. The original design was plastic and brass, this is all brass.
In my case it was changed as a maintenance option, whilst dealing with another fault.
On pulling out the old part, the plastic cage fell apart in my hand. Dodged a near future fail, I think.
For the relatively low cost of this part I would routinely change it if you have to drain your boiler for any reason.
The photo that I supply is the old part that you should NOT be buying, it has been upgraded with the all brass version. And yes it will fit, despite being shorter.Read full review...
