Review of the DVD set

There are plenty of features in the 4-disk version; from actor commentary to commentary about the famous scene in the chariot race where Ben-Hur flips over the chariot. I have not seen disc 3, the original Ben-Hur, but what I love about this set is that you can see the film almost as it was intended to be seen, with the music for the overture and the intermission. One of the best films ever!

What can I say? THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE!
This is one of those Biblical epics that many call one of the best films ever made
and with good reason.
Heston at his oscar winning best, Boyd as the classic villain, and the backdrop
being the advent of the Christ. The chariot race alone is worth the price of
admission to this spectacular telling of Lew Wallace's beloved novel.
So much to experience in this movie I can't possibly put it all in this
review.
