Very robust and well made tool - a must have
Very well made and properly engineered tool. I've lost count of how many cheap useless versions I've snapped, broken or buckled - I should have bought a properly made one like this years ago. Very strong tips that do an excellent job. The wider tip is perfect for easing into position between the lugs and a tight fitting leather strap whilst the narrow tip is great for getting into metal bracelets with narrow access.
This tool is invaluable for anyone who wants to swap out their watchbands without scratching their timepiece.Read full review

Bergeon-Expected Quality
I was concerned Spending so much on such a small single tool, as I've had quite a few springbar tools in the past, all bent eventually. Not this one! Quality feel from the start via the blurred shaft. A nice addition is the separate sized ends, my only niggle is that the end pieces are replaceable as they screw out, but work their way loose with use, so you do find urself tightening them up often. That being said, this is a quality piece and should stand the test of time. Read full review

Well-made
Haven't used any other bar tool, but this one seems excellent, I had no problem using it on three separate strap types

An excellent and essential piece of equipment.
Made to Bergeons high standards that make it so easy to swap out or adjust watch bracelets. An assortment of different size prongs can be bought and swapped on to the handle. Definitely a must have item for any watch owner/collector.Read full review

Expensive, but worth it
A lot more expensive than the cheap Chinese alternatives, but this is a quality tool, made from quality steel, and should last a lifetime. Managed to change the strap on a Casio watch with deeply recessed gel strap, without damaging the spring bars, which I was able to re-use, or having to remove the watch back. The tool gripped the spring bar well, with no sign of bending.Read full review

Bergeon spring bar remover
The Bergeon spring bar remover is a properly engineered tool made of good quality steel.
The cheaper Chinese versions that are available on Ebay and elsewhere are not up to the same standards and although they seem like a real bargain, they will cost more in the long run because of the length of time that they last.
Pay a little more and go for the Bergeon tool. It makes more economic and ergonomic sense.Read full review

Why cut corners?
It does the job. Much nicer to use than the cheapo copies and at the end of the day good value. Choice of sizes makes life a lot easier for occasional users

Buy this. Not the cheap alternatives.
I can change the strap on my watch in minutes without fuss. Have a cheap version of the same thing which was always a struggle. Buy cheap, buy twice. This is well worth the extra money. Solid and reliable.Read full review

Excellent precise tool.
Up until now I’ve used cheap or supplied spring bar tools. This changes everything, the tips are very, very, strong and it makes releasing spring bars easy.

A pleasure to use and a bargain.
Appears totally genuine, and a very nice tool. Much better than cheap watch strap tools. A pleasure to use. The added bonus is that the replacement tips can be easily bought from Cousins et al.
