Big Brother In The Good Old Days... Brilliant! 10/10!

This DVD is brilliant! I watched it last night and had to stop myself from laughing too loud! I usually would watch old Big Brother series online since the oldies are the best, but could never find series 3 from 2002 with Kate, Jade and everyone. Until this! I didn't realize that for the first few series DVDs were made, it's a shame they discontinued the idea as it would have been brilliant for all 11 series on channel 4 - especially series 7! I would definitely have bought most of them as I'm a BIG Big Brother fanatic! :)

Absolutely loved this series, Alison Hammond in particular had me in stitches, she got evicted way too early as she is amazing! So glad she's done well for herself though! Jade Goody, R.I.P, this is a lovely memory of her, she was an absolutely brilliant character and was taken away from us too soon, she may be gone but never forgotten. It was nice to see the sexy Tim, and the hilarious Alex and Johnny's pranks! I was only 10 when this series was on so I'd never seen any of it apart from the final, so this is a really great DVD to have as it wasn't available to watch the series anywhere online.

*SPOILER ALERT* - Kate - the deserving winner - was fantastic too, I idolize her! Gorgeous, funny, clever, down to earth and well, normal, just like us - a well deserving winner!

The DVD includes all of the housemates audition tapes as a bonus too, and other interactive extras such as 'The Girl's Room', 'The Boy's Room' and Quizzes which I haven't checked out yet. There is also scene selection available, but it's worth watching the whole thing on one play first as it is so entertaining to watch it right the way through - not one bit was boring! It was so interesting to see the highlights - housemates up for nomination, being evicted, funny moments (and there are lots of them!), arguments, pranks, romances, friendships and relationships forming, and of course the winner being crowned! What's really great also is that it doesn't drone on - no live feed of housemates asleep! - only the best bits! It isn't too vague and it isn't too prolonged, there is just the perfect amount of footage on this DVD. As well as this, Marcus Bentley does a great job narrating the commentary on the DVD, telling the story of Big Brother 3 from start to finish.

Big Brother at it's finest. I loved how the housemates all made games up, more creative and imaginative, more crazy and silly without it going too far, were more of a community and most of all they wore their hearts on their sleeves, they were REAL, which made this particular set of housemates so loveable (in contrast to housemates in later series...). Big Brother in the early days may be overlooked, but I prefer the basic format of the show. It was more real, I could actually relate to the housemates, nobody was being fake - it was literally 'reality TV'. Top quality DVD, 10/10. The earlier days of Big Brother will always be the best for me no matter what, and if you agree with me, then buy this DVD!!!Read full review...

BIG BROTHER - UNCUT 3

I enjoyed the pure nostalgia of seeing all of the old housemates. There is so much that one forgets, and it is so interesting to see how tame Big Brother seems to have been in those eaqrly days, how would those housemates cope with the dastardly tricks that Big Brother plays today?
The only complaint I have, is that the DVD could have been longer. I would have liked to have had at least double the length. That in itself is a testament to how much I enjoyed it.

For 9 years now, i have been meaning to buy this dvd. Finally, i have got round to buying it :)
if you're a fan of big brother like myself, you will love this dvd as it takes you through the whole of the 3rd series, which is good, as i personally think that this particular series was the best. it has a fair few extras as well :)Read full review...

One of the strangest BB formats - but some of the most memorable contestants - a must see!
