Some benefit to patio slabs and big improvement on wood
Not much else has worked so far on this outdoor paint which my decorator dripped copiously onto a wooden side gate and a patio with slabs. The thickest area of paint has bubbled up after this treatment and was easily scraped away with wire brush and various coarse sanders from the wood. The rest of the spots on the wood responded best to wire brush and coarse sander rather than this spray. I have now repainted gate successfully. I am wondering if a scraper might have lifted the thick paint anyway? But this treatment is kinder to the surface. On the patio there has been some improvement after spraying on thickly. A normal yardbrush then removed top layer and water needs to be thrown on repeatedly. Repeat as necessary. It is already noticeably better after a few attempts but needs elbow grease. Be careful with the stiffest harshest brushes as they may mark the patio slabs long term. I am considering just reversing the slabs.Read full review

Paint stripper? Try Soho.
I can't complain about the supplier, they probably don't test all the products they sell which is a shame as they wouldn't stock it if they had realised just what how poor it is.
I'm going to try it to degrease the oven tomorrow because it certainly doesn't remove the various paint finishes I tried it on.
It didn't even soften acrylic, 2 pack, powder coated or oil based finishes on my motorcycle parts even after liberally coating and agitating with a small wire brush after 45 minutes.
I didn't try it on watercolour paintings perhaps that's something else for tomorrow.
I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible which is what attracted me to the claims of this product. However, I think the claims are perhaps a little on the overly optimistic side at worst and utter nonsense at best.
How I avoided swearing is beyond me...
Again, no slight on the suppliers, they simply advertise the product by what it claims on the label.Read full review

Not as good as expected
We were stripping paint from a plastered wall. after spraying and spreading it didn't blister but did soften slightly, allowing slightly larger pieces to be removed. At least the fumes were not overpowering - opening windows both sides cleared them adequately.Read full review

Most substitutes for the real thing don’t work
After three sessions on an area of half a square foot it only removed a few ‘bits’ the following day some more had bubbled up. Wood probably take months to strip a door. I bought some Nitromores and job done in 45 minsRead full review
