Black & Decker PKS160 Power Scrubber

Replacement for 13 year old one that finally broke.

I had previously owned a Power Kitchen scrubber and it finally broke (13 years). I decided to buy a new one as the comparable Dremel had too short of a battery run time. Unfortunately, the accessories for the old one do not fit the new one, even thought they look identical. When I have time, I will take measurements and try to find out if I can make the old accessories fit.
Otherwise, I like battery powered tools that have a standard battery that can easily replaced, too many are proprietary and expensive, This tool uses AA batteries. Read full review

I'm surprised at all the positive reviews of this item

no option for zero star. I purchase this item because many reviewers said that they had great success in getting rid of soap scums and hard water stain from their bath. I had ran the scrubber through my shower glass enclosure 4 times, and run down the scour pad to the end of its useful life and the soap scums are still there. the scrubber just does not have enough power. Only thing that worked was old fashion elbow grease. Save your money, this will not save you time or energy.Read full review

Better than expected

This scrubber works better than I thought it would, doesn't spin too fast and has plenty of power. The nice thing is that it uses common batteries that can be had for very cheap by the dozens. Great product glad I bought one.Read full review

Kinda powerful

It has more power then the one I previously owned. But it could be stronger. The handle is a little wide for my grip. The scouring pad (the one shown) wears out VERY quickly. I own the 3.6v versapac scumbuster which led me too purchase this unit. The PKS160 performs well, and the use of standard alkaline batteries may be appealing. The ergonomics are good. I've had one since 1991 (earlier model) and I loved it. I bought another, while I consigned the original to my garage for tool cleaning. I wish I could get more varied attachments for it.

B/D scurbber

My item arrived on time and as advertised, does the job as you would expect. But lets be real if you have stuff burnt on you will have to scrape it off before can scrub it clean and it will take some work. Works great for coffee cups. In my opinion it could turn a little faster however, that's just my opinion. Bottom line works great.
