A brilliant album - one of her best!

These songs are imaginative, captivating and in my opinion show great craftsmanship both lyrically, and musically. The frailty of Gretchen Peter's voice is perfect for these songs. Her band is tight musically and the unusual musical instruments used on this album help to set the dark mood.
These songs are stories, crafted and pared down to the essential.
