Rolling Stones Blues

The Rolling Stones latest CD is excellent value. Although not my kind of favorite music from the "Stones" I personally prefer Rock & Roll from Mick and gang. But after playing the disc a few times I am starting to appreciate the music. It's just taking a little time to get used to "The Blues". With it being The Rolling Stones I just had to buy it, and now that I have, I'm glad I did! Read full review

Back to their roots

This an album that the Stones could have made at any time during their 55 year career. A career that started with their love of American blues and subsequently evolved to them writing their own versions of these classic songs, to become the world's greatest rock band. I suppose that the irony of this release is that they are in their later years, as were their Blues heros, when the Stones recorded their songs in the early sixties. How the wheel has turned. Whilst this release demonstrates the Stones doing what they do best, to great effect, it naturally lacks the energy of youth of those early sixties covers, which were what shot them to the top, whilst the original blues legends were being ignored by the music industry. Hopefully we have become more inclusive these days and the Stones power has kept them relevant, even in their twilight years.Read full review

another great album from the Stones

not your usual today stones they have gone back to the begining and retraced their music . Blue and Lonesome is a must buy for any Stones fan,I personally found the album a real treat from the norm. I have been a Stones fan since the early 60s I was at Hyde park tribute to Brian Jones and have had the privalage to have seen them many times this album compliments their achievements within the music industry.Read full review

uncluttered Blues

The Rolling Stones go back to their blues roots and produce an honest uncluttered blues album, that any blues fan would be proud to own! For me it's a 5 star work of art.
