An absolute must-have for any John Sykes/Blue Murder fan
This remaster of Blue Murder's debut (and best,IMHO)album is absolutely wonderfully done. Much of the muddy mid-range frequencies that plagued the initial release have been eliminated and clarified. The masterful bass wrangling of the Fretless Monster himself, Tony Franklin is quite a bit more present and focused, Carmine Appice's drumwork seems to cut through the overall mix with tighter definition and authority. Saving the best bits for last, John Sykes' BLISTERING guitar assault really got a make-over on this reissue. Subtle as a jackhammer on steroids, Sykes' steamroller tone and era-defining technique make this album absolutely explode. Rock Candy records did an amazing job in this remastered reissue and it is WELL worth the money in owning it. An added bonus in the CD booklet is an essay written by legendary rock journalist Malcolm Dome in 2013 that is the perfect topper to a very worthwhile and enjoyable addition to any hard rockin' head banging disciple of well crafted Rock.
