Does the job, good price

Very happy with these. They can easily be set to either expand or contract the circlip as required, and the range of different shaped tips is useful. Some smaller circlips are quite a tight fit on the pliers but it would be easy enough to file the ends down a bit. Let's face it, circlips are an awkward and frustrating contrivance, but these pliers make them about as manageable as they ever can be!Read full review...

Good idea... Bad execution

What do you expect for 3£? Don't expect much.. The metal easily bends and the extra contract points on it make it difficult to use in tight spaces.

It was barely useable to service the clips on my to espresso machine.Read full review...

Excellent for the money, buy a set and stop struggling and wrecking those circlips!

These are really very good for the price! Easily adaptable for internal or external clips. Build quality is pretty good in general and impressive when the price is considered.

Stop messing up circlips by trying to bodge them on and off with pliers or small screwdrivers. Get a set of these and it all becomes so easy and no more mangled clips!

Nothing to complain about at this price.

Do the job but...

These work OK, but if you will need circlip p,iers a lot I woild recommend buying ones with fixed points to suit your task. The points are not very rigidly retained on the pliers and require a well placed finger to keep them in the right place relative to the handle and locating pins. For occasional use where there is good access this is fine but it could be limiting in more challenging situations.Read full review...

Good for the price, light work only! Better than expected.

Good for what you pay, it's not meant to be an everyday heavy duty circlip tool, but for occasional LIGHT work its good.
The pins at the end are small and will not cope with anything particularly meaty but for small jobs is ok and the interchangeable heads are cleverly designed for retracting and compressing.Read full review...

Work well

Although at first they appear a bit flimsy they have stood up well to all the tasks I have used them for, once you have figured out how they work easy to change tips or inside outside mode.

Much better than expected

I was very impressed by the quality, the appearance and the 'feel'. The pliers seem robust (I have used them a few times without any hint of a problem). And the design is very pleasing - it is easy to change the heads, and to reposition a head to expand or compress circlips (i.e. to use for internal or external circlips). Also, the packaging is robust enough to store the set permanently.Read full review...

Great value & well built.

Tip jaws 1.8mm thick - points 1.4mm dia - the spare straight one had 1.2mm points.
As I use small circlips I will need to file points to suit - the steel jaws are not hard to file.
The build quality is good & the jaws are a good fit to the handle. The jaws pivot on a removable pin & presses onto the jaws with a spring which fits over the pin shaft. As the spring can drop off when changing jaws, I glued the thin end of the spring to the head of the pin. The other end of the pin has a clever easy-release retainer.
No instructions, so takes a short time to figure out.
Has a firm feel with thick plastic-covered handles - this is a great product.

NOT useable, POOR design.

The pivot pin that holds the various supplied 'jaws' in place, falls out when in use.
This is because the spring on the pivot pin is too weak to keep it in place. The only way I could make them usable, was to replace the pivot pin with a nut and bolt. This should not be necessary on a new tool which is supposed to be designed for a specific job of removing/fitting circlips.Read full review...

Good circlip pliers

Good straight and offset circlip pliers, both squeez and pull apart. I paid £4 and for that and occasional use they are terific value.
You dont expect Snappon quality for £4, so realistically they are very good value for the money.
The heads interchange and fit one side to squeeze and the other side to pull apart.
Due to the nature of the swapable heads there has to be a mechanism to change them quickly, there is a pin and a spring, if the spring is there the pin will not fall out and everything is great, loose either of these two loose parts and the pliers would become difficult to use.
As long as you keep all the bits, life will be rosey.
