worktop cutting

My son has recently bought his first house. A new Kitchen was needed to freshen it up.

Just Perfect.

This jigsaw is a lovely piece of equipment. Feels like a reliably heavy and well made jigsaw. On top of that it cuts very well indeed. One thing that I did do was a slight modification of the vacuum tube. The end of the tube has four indented rings around it. I put an O ring on the two outer rings and covered the area with a suitable shrink sleeve. It now fits quite snuggly into the tube of my DC50 vacuum cleaner. It locks into place between the two outer rings on the tube when you press the latching button. I put silicon grease on the jigsaw tube to allow the vacuum tube to rotate freely. It's not completely air tight. However, it certainly fits well enough to suck the shavings away from the job being worked on. Just press the red button to release one tube from the other.
