Bosch 06008A9070 950W Corded Electric Strimmer

A serious bit of kit-well worth the money, you wont be disappointed.

Used this strimmer to blitz through tough dock weeds, long grass and even wild elder bush effortlessly, the metal blade( and twin nylon cutters for that matter) cuts like a laser through metal but it can easily be changed to the ultra strong hard wearing twin nylon line fitment for not so dense grass/vegetation.
Without a doubt this outperforms any other ordinary strimmer that would struggle to cope with long vegetation. Well worth the money, nothing to dislike.Read full review

A serious brushcutter.

This is a beast of a strimmer/brush cutter. I am less keen on the strimmer cord attachment as I didn't find the cord lasted very long and they are relatively expensive to replace but the brush cutter attachment is really effective and rapidly clears the way.
It is a powerful machine also quite heavy but the shoulder harness helps spread the load and keeps the blade at a safe distance.
