Bose QuietComfort 35ii noise cancelling headphones

Excellent headphones as you’d expect from Bose. I hate having headphone on for any long length of time as I find my ears get squashed but these fit over my ear completely & it’s like I’m wearing “ear slippers” they’re so comfortable & there’s no creaking sounds when you move about like some other brands I tried in my local electrical retailer. I went for the silver ones as they look better than the black plastic looking ones & as a female they looked better on me, but that’s down to personal choice. The sound is so clear & crisp that when listening to my old music it was richer & had more depth. Like my War of the Worlds album it sounds fantastic, I highly recommend these headphones, it’s an investment that you will not regret.
I love them & they truly do block out unwanted noise from outside leaving you to emerce yourself in your music.

Great Bose Quality

A very comfortable over ear headphone that completely avoids the problem of ear crush. Excellent sound quality as you’d expect from Bose and the noise cancelling function is top drawer. Can be linked to multiple Bluetooth devices and will auto sync between which you are watching or listening to. Can also be used to chat when making or receiving calls. These are great. Well worth the money.Read full review...

Amazing Headphones

These headphones are just amazing for the functitons they're designed for. Great sound quality and effective noise cancellation. My only comment would be with the buttons on the Right Earpiece. These are sometimes difficult to locate and difficult to determine which one of three you are pressing. Maybe they should be spaced out more.Read full review...

Unspeakably good!

I've been seeing quite a few people on aeroplanes lately wearing Bose QuietComforts lately. I'm one of those that tries to buy the top of the range as I would otherwise find myself wondering what I would be missing for an extra £20 or so, know what I mean?

So shall I tell you about the comfort? These are amazingly comfortable. I have quite large ears, but these are comfortably encased by the softest (leather?) material, which I can only suppose has been rendered from the best of unicorn hide. Whatever it is it, it's lovely and just on their own, without switching on the noise cancelling, they do a pretty good job of noise blocking.

Sound quality? Wonderful. I know you would think that this would be a given from Bose, but I've since read articles about earlier models which were less than wowwed by their headphones, but these seem universally praised and I agree. A largely unbiased performance, leaning towards the warm-and-bright, not overly bassy and competent at playing a range of music. I like both classical and rock and these are both handled with aplom.

Noise-cancelling? Well, this is why you are spending such a lot of money, right? I guarantee you will feel safely cocooned in your own private music world. Screaming child on a bus? No problem! Chatty plane passenger? Anhiliated at the flick of a switch!

Battery life? These are USB rechargeable headphones and there pros and cons to be had here. Of course the obvious pro is that you don't fork out a fortune for batteries which, for reasons of their own, seem to leak when left on their own in the dark. But on the other hand, if you have some spare batteries you can swap them out immediately for run down ones. With rechargeable you need to have the presence of mind to charge first and hope that they don't run out before the end of your flight to Bangkok (or wherever). Happily the battery life on these is amazing. Tens of hours of high-quality, uninterupted audio.

Bluetooth connectivity? While there is a 2.5mm to 3.5mm custom audio lead provided with the splended case these come in (don't lose it, a replacement cable might cost you £20 and nothing else will do except a Bose replacement because of the special shape of the lead at one end) these things are designed to be used wirelessly. This is fantastic as they won't get tangled in your briefcase, seatbelt, soup(!), and don't restrict your movements in any way. Pairing with your phone is painless and the built-in mic allows you to immediately take phone calls without removing the headset. However, I have noticed that I tend to speak a lot louder than perhaps is necessary, as the noise cancelling is so good that you can't hear yourself speak! But that's just how good they are and I think it just makes me sound more confident! :-)

If you can afford them, I would certainly recommend them. They generally seem to sell for around £350 so if you can get them for less, with a decent guarantee, and they are not Chinese knock-offs, you will love them. But you should also compare them with the Sony bluetooth alternative, which are a lot cheaper. You may find these suit your purposes just as well and will save you a heck of a lot of money. I bought mine because I didn't want to wonder whether I had bought the best or not. I am sure that I have, but 9.5 out of 10 for £100 cheaper is probably still good enough for the majority of us.

Really does work

Using on the train and tube, they really do cut out the main background noise to make the content playing really easy to listen to. Also comfortable enough to have on ears for over an hour, and love the freedom of no wires getting caught up. One issue ( not sure if it's headphones or tablet) but when watching video there can be a delay in the speech. Would be good if these had an option to adjust delay to compensate for thisRead full review...

Paying for a great & confortable pair of noise canceling headphones

I have been using these for about 3 weeks or so and up until now they have done nothing but be perfect! Had no issues pairing this to my android smartphone or anything of the sorts.
While I was using this pair of headphones everything went smoothly and the noise cancelling working perfectly, at least in my perspective .. although I can say in very rare occasions there were slight hiccups in the sound but nothing that would disturb me, and I generally get really annoyed if the flow of the music I'm listening to is disturbed suddenly, but has I said, it only happened in rare occasions nothing regular on a daily basis usage.

At the retail price I understand these are not your average headphones, and they shouldn't be considered as so.. These are headphones for a specific range of people who might have the luxury to throw this money away, although I wouldn't say its throwing away since it's going towards something that you might be using on a daily basis or very regularly.
I bought these with the intention of having a good pair of wireless headphones that would simultaneously offer me some added bonuses, this being the noise cancelling and the buttons on the headphones to allow ease of use when skipping music or play/pause functions, and as you might have noticed I have been pleased so far.
These will also definitely be useful when I'm on my trips to my hometown and need to take the plane. I say "they will be" and not "they are" because I have yet to try it out, but surely with the reviews from many people out there these will work as intended.

As for the bad, I honestly can't see much of bad in these if any at all, since the build quality is quite good for what it is, it is flexible enough for small or larger heads and the ear-cups are wonderful and soft, although in the summer they might make you sweat a little since they are snugly on your head.
Sound quality is the standard one from bose products, although some might find a bit disorienting the noise cancellation I had no issues with it. A side note, is that these headphones when they run out of power they can still be used with the 3.5mm cable provided although you'll notice that the sound is a bit worse without the sound cancellation active.
And finally, storage wise, they're easily foldable and have a carrying case that comes with the headphones out of the box, with a airplane adaptor and a 3.5mm cable in case you run out of battery (yes these still work when they have no battery, only downside is that you'll have no noise cancelling but that is to be expected with no battery).

Overall, I would recommend these pair of headphones to anyone, but I would also recommend doing your research and knowing if these are for you or not, as there are many other headphones that offer the same as the Bose if not even more or better in some possible cases. Anyways, hope this has helped!
Cheers, -DC

Phenomenal sound

The sound you hear is phenomenal with easy of adjustment, there very light weight well padded ear cups and head band they don't clamp to tight around your ears but can like all head phones can be awkward if you ware glasses, if you use the cable, its thin 4ft long with out a phone control or noise cancelling attachment, do you have to rob a bank to buy them ! there cheep but you buy what you can afford.Read full review...

Best headphones I've owned

These headphones are by far the best I've owned. They immediately connect to my tablet and phone. Just flew six hours to Dubai and watched movies flying there and only used 10 percent of the battery. The noise cancellation worked to the point that I didn't hear any noises from the plane. Extremely lightweight and was comfortable even after many hours of use. Love the headphones and well worth the price.Read full review...
