Bose Wave Radio CD Player - Black (AWRC3G)

Compact but effective

Have wanted one of these for ages. Reconditioned so lower in price but decided I would go with this to make sure it is what I want.

Great sound both via fm radio, cd, and Bluetooth link.

Music good, speech ‘boom‘ annoying. Value for money is poor.

I bought it secondhand advertised with an intermittent cd operation. It would appear that Bose wave CD players are not long-lasting as so many are advertised as “faulty“.
The music sound is good ( provided you like lots of bass ) but the tone is not adjustable. For speech programmes the bass “boom” is most annoying, especially when the lower voice of men are speaking.

Good playing sound.

It met my needs and was well packaged but in transit it had at some stage been dropped on one corner. This dented that box corner and might account for the slight damage to the aerial plug on the unit. Since I do not use it as a radio at the moment this is no immediate problem.Read full review

I bought this for a relative who wanted music in the kitchen and despite the reviews about this unit, I was sceptical whether it would match up to it's reputation.I was also concerned that there were so many for sale with faulty CD players, so I tested it before handing it over. this one worked perfectly and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of sound and the depth of bass from this small unit. This praise comes from someone who uses a high end Kef /NAD surround system.
