Hard on the fingers. Easy on the back and ears.
I've been a playing musician for 45 yrs. I have owned the JS-5 for about 5 years, but, this new JS-10 has so many more features than the JS-5 that i can hardly turn it off. I love how easily you can now record, play back, connect to your pc, hook up a USB jump drive, record on it, or insert another SD card, and record on it. It has made my fingers sore from all of the jamming I' ve been doing. You can jam to your hearts content with all of the built in eBand songs or just add your own. I have to admit. I'm addicted. Man are my fingers sore, I LOVE IT. If I had 10 more fingers I think I would have to get another one. But seriously if you love to practice alot like I do, no matter how long you have been playing, believe me this JS-10 will wear you out. And also I don't won't to forget all of the GT-100 sounds and effects it has built in along with the speaker system of 2.1., you never have to hook up your amp over and over again, just plug into the JS-10 and you will have all the sound you need and then some. Not to practice with a band but to practice in a room without taking up a whole lot of space, and the learning curve is pretty easy, if I can get it, it can't be to hard. I just can't say enough about the JS-10 so I guess I'll just be quiet and go jam some more. Oh yea, and in case your wondering, I'm not getting paid for all this. EnjoyRead full review

Versitle product. Great for gigs and practice
This is my third Boss JS-10 and JS-8. I use it for practice, students, and smaller gig rooms. If you want to use for larger rooms, you will need to purchase external speakers. The product provides a lot of versatility. I play all types of music from smooth jazz to Chet Atkins to Santana. There are loads of patches to replicate the sound you need to handle all music types. I have recommended to several others. The downside is that the internal speakers are very limited. I would like to see a pro model released with more sound capacity that could handle gigging. Best thing since sliced Bread
Second Gen with a load of improvements over the JS-8
No matter whether your a beginner or touring pro this has more features and capability than any box out there Highly recommend: Before you purchase,, have a look at Tony Fuentes Tubes of different artist sounds... which of course is the primary concern.
Digital Modeling Sound is quite good for a practice device
The older JS-8 is good sound however lacking as no on board low end woofer and not as many features other than having a few more EFX. So there is some trade off but over all the 10 is vastly superior.
After that the other not so obvious features
are Phrase Trainer, MP3 Recorder, Center Pan Minus vocal remover, Line out for external powered speaker connection Headphone / Cab Sim Emulator Output for direct in recording
Only objection its a bit pricey at 400, but that said... this is one box you will not get tired of
Its a definite keeper loaded with emulations / drums with efx and a endless array of variables in located in the EFX menus. So you will find the sound your looking for ... I built a proper Isolation Chamber with a couple of large diaphragm condemner mics for recording...
so no need for an amp but going into an amp will obviously work as well if that's your
preference. Two simultaneous Guitar / Line inputs and stereo out
All in all pretty amazing..Read full review

Very satisfied and would make a future purchase.
The outside surface of the product was in near perfect condition and so far everything seems to be working properly. I really appreciated how the sender kept me informed as the package was in route.r>
Thank you very much and very happy so far.

Fantastic!
Very cool item. Works very well.
It has nice tracks already on it, and I found some similar ones made to go on it from Hal Leonard. Those work great, as well.
I have loaded songs from the computer, which are easy to do and sound the same on the Jam Station as the backing tracks.
All in All it makes practice and learning new material very pleasant.
I would buy it again.Read full review
