So easy
My old Brabantia four arm line became very dirty and I really stopped using it a few years ago. Decided that using the tumble drier, even in the hottest weather was just plain stupid. Thought I’d just buy a completely new one but they aren’t cheap so replacing the line was the only option if it could be done. I took some time but then plumped for the Brabantia rather than a cheaper one. Read the reviews and bought it with mixed feelings. The replacement line arrived and just sat there for a couple of days but eventually I took the bull by the horns and set about doing the job. My old line, all the sections were individually slung but the instructions for the replacement were that only the outermost line would be replaced in a similar way, all the other strands were one long piece of line per row. The most difficult thing was getting the line to stay in the half open position. I eventually used a garden chair pushed right up to the point then lowered the line until it rested on the chair. I followed the instructions, my old line was the B type. I removed a section, measured it against the new line, doubled it over, four times, added a few inches and then cut. I then followed the instructions on re stringing the line. I had no problem whatsoever getting the replacement line through the holes in either the fixings or the structure, although mine always ended up pointing down instead of up, as per the diagram but it didn’t matter. It took a little time to get the tension right and I wish I’d done that row by row but as I only use the innermost sections for small items, they don’t really matter. Once completed, there is still quite a lot of replacement line left. So if you make a mistake and cut too short don’t worry, there is plenty to go at. I did this on my own, I’m average height and am in my late sixties. Although it wasn’t difficult really, it’s a bit fiddly, especially the tension. So I don’t have to do it again, I bought a Brabantia line cover, which I’m so glad I did. As since replacing the line I’ve only been able to use it twice!Read full review

OK but very expensive for what it is.
They use the trade name to get you to accept that it is quality and value. To be fair, it is quality, but it is not value. You could buy for about a quarter of the price equal or superior quality. But the USP is the little plastic bits (which must cost about 10p to manufacture) and which no-one in their right mind would use because it's easier just to put up a new line without all the unnecessary "adjustables". Must take hours and hours to fit. Who wants to adjust a washing line? Three quid gets you a new one.Read full review

Replacement rotary line
Fitted line, It was simple to fit, The instructions says fit whilst closed but what I found ,you may cut lengths to short, my suggestion have line open and fit to get the right length and tensions before cutting , the way I did it was to start from the inside line to outer , In hind sight , should have started from outside line to the inner,Read full review

Not piece of cake but easy
We probably had this Brabantia carousel for more than 16 years when all the lines finally gave up.
Took me about 90 minutes to assemble and adjust the proper tension but now it stands proudly .
>Good product. excellent price About 1/3 of the local Brabantia's rep price.

Ample length, and textured surface.
Ours is a ‘standard ‘ rotary washing line, and we probably have enough spare line now to re-cord it again.
As the original cord lasted about 20 years, fortunately it’s not a regular job,so it’ll be a while before we know how this compares.
It does have a slightly textured surface, but that doesn’t stop the plastic pegs from sliding along .Read full review

good well thought kit, but pricey compared to basic washing line cord.
expensive, you could just crimp or tie off the cords but you wouldn't be able to adjust the length of each cord as this kit allows. The little black cord link blocks allow adjustment to get the tensions just right.
great instructions and good cord.Read full review

Rotary repair kit
The adjustable fasteners are brilliant you can alter the tension of the line so you get the right length to be able to pull the rotary line up with ease .

Very pleased.
The frames of my washing line was still strong so why throw it away. I didn’t need the clips as the the frame had integral ones. Started in the middle and worked out, threaded the rope through and wrapped it round a couple of times for each arm. Took less than an hour to do the whole frame. It looks very tidy, when the weather improves I will put washing on it and we will see if it stretches. However, on first impressions, im really pleased with the result.Read full review

Good quality and length to spare
The rotary drier I was repairing was not Brabantia and did not have the U-section spokes. This meant that I could not use the supplied plastic clamps to secure the line sections but had to copy the knots which had been used when mine was originally strung. The quality of the replacement line was definitely superior to the original on my drier. My drier had eleven sets of holes for the lines and after the job was finished there was a substantial length unused, so all was satisfactory.Read full review

Thank you
The instructions were very clear - it is a tricky piece of equipment especially not being a seven foot giant but when I followed the instructions it worked like a dream. It took me some time, I had to make sure that the clip fitting exactly matched the instruction picture but I now have a perfectly useable Rotary Dryer completely wired and I don't have to throw it away which as it was only the line that had frayed or broken I was reluctant to do. Thank you BrabantiaRead full review
