Basic Braun shaver
This isn't the first Braun shaver I've owned. I buy them because I like foil shavers. This shaver was bought to replace my old series 3 Braun shaver. Each time I've bought a Braun shaver there's always something that has been stripped out to save production costs. First it was a carry case, then the oil to lubricate the cutters, with this shaver you don't even get a brush. As I prefer a dry shave this is a bit of a bummer. Luckily I've still got the brush off my old shaver. Also when I bought this shaver I didn't realise there's no long hair trimmer. Shame there's no warning when the battery is about to need charging.
On the plus side it does give a good shave and it recharges quickly, also you can use it plugged into the mains. If I was to buy another Braun shaver I'd go for a more expensive model with more features. Read full review...

First foil razor
Decided to buy a foil razor and move away from the rotary style and will be going back to the rotary one immediately. This razor feels like it's scraping off the stubble rather than cutting it. The razors blades get very warm on the face after only a couple of minutes. I also tried shaver oil to see if this would ease the roughness and the heat but unfortunately it made little difference.The razor itself is well put together and feels durable also the battery seems to be powerful. But unfortunately this isn't the one for me and as mentioned before I will go back to the trusted rotary style razor.

Compact shave, good value for money
A nice compact shaver which does its job. If you shave longer, you get a closer shave, but if you just spend a minute or two, you get a reasonable shave. I would have preferred there was a battery level indicator to tell me how much power is left and when to recharge. Read full review...

It’s a long time since I last used an electric shaver, which back then was also a Braun foil shaver. I still prefer a wet shave but as I now have a tremor, this has become tricky especially around the mouth, with the bathroom resembling a scene from Reservoir Dogs!

Much better than expected
I haven't used an electric shaver for 20 years but wanted a basic model for holidays and travel.
The last one I had was a Braun foil type, so went with this type again.
The quality has much improved and the shave is excellent, even for this relatively cheap model.
Okay, it doesn't have a trimmer or a brush but as you can clean the head with water, it works for me.

This model is no exception although it it is at the budget end of their price bracket. Nonetheless it offers Braun shaving quality which is very hard to equal.. Good electric shaver
I have been using this shaver for some weeks and felt I could now give a realistic review rather than reviewing after receipt.
This product has replaced my Braun 9000 at a fraction of the cost. Maintenance of this shaver is also simpler and at no cost. I was considering reverting to wet shaving as 3 years with the Brain 9000 was really disappointing but the Braun series 3 has not disappointed.
It has no brush, which is cheapskate on the part of Braun, nor a carrying case, but for that I would expect to pay more, which is not an issue for me. I would recommend this shaver over it’s more expensive counterparts. It shaves close and is consistent only needing brushing clean after every shave and washing out every week.
