No, it is not better than expected, quite the opposite! I was disappointed with its quality, but not surprised. No products are as good as in the past: our 4th Golf is the same. I chose a series 3 Braun razor to replace the one I’ve had for at least 10 years, but the new one is not as effective. I would recommend this Braun model as a very competent, yet budget-priced shaver.
This is my fourth Braun shaver and is now the best (since my trusty, but quite outdated Cruzer 2 packed up). I'm just back from a week's holiday and there's still power in it after 9 days!
