A close shave.
Sometimes you find that an alternative brand at half the price does the same job. But definitely not the case in this instance. The Braun replacement cutting block is simply the very best there is. German engineering is extremely precise, which makes the difference. Works first time, perfect fit and gives a smooth shave for a long time. The only way to maintain this high standard is to make sure that you clean the cutter block, after every shave. Using only the clean and renew system that comes with the razor, from new. Braun state that a single cutting block will last approximately 18 months, but because of my beard composition, I have managed to get to 9 months, cleaning after every shave. At this stage I usually bin it and replace it. I am quite sure that with a softer beard type it would be capable of going to 18 months as stated. I am very happy to have 9 months of excellent quality shaves for the price of the replacement cutting block. I have been using Braun shavers, from my first shave 40 years ago. It looks like a Braun 70S replacement cutter foil cassette - but no packaging means this can't be confirmed!
I ordered a Braun 70S Replacement Cutter Foil Cassette for a Braun Series 7 Pulsonic 9000, 790cc, 9595. It certainly looks like the right cassette but it arrived in a piece of secondary packaging that was unidentifiable as Braun! I can't recommend it as a genuine product with no packaging ID. I have been using the cassette for several weeks and in general, it seems to perform well, but only long-term testing will confirm, the genuine Braun product lasts about 18 months, only time will tell. Super Braun Product
In recent months I had been complaining to my wife my Braun Shaver was not giving a close shave. Having owned the shaver for a few years, I was ready to purchase a new one. I am pleased I did not as the new foil for my series 7 has made a miraculous difference. Being a genuine Braun product, it was more expensive than the pattern copies but "you get what you pay for" and this replacement is an amazing improvement.Read full review

A new head that makes all the difference.
I didn't realise that I had already had my shaver for two years! I had begun to notice that my neck was sore after using my shaver so decided to get a new cutting head for it. As soon as I used the new head there was a massive difference. I did not make my neck sore and the new head glided much more smoothly on my skin, and cut my stubble much closer.
Unlike some others who have reported their cutting head arriving in non-specific packaging, mine did arrive in a genuine Braun blister pack and on comparing the two heads I am satisfied that this was a genuine Braun product, not a copy. I paid £28 for mine which was the cheapest I could find, however for what it is I do think these are expensive to replace hence just 4 stars.

Replacement head for Series 7 Braun razor
This was my first change of head on my Braun razor, and came 3 years after I first purchased the razor. Big mistake! I should have replaced the cartridge head earlier. The transformation with the new head was amazing, with quieter performance and a much smoother shave. I hadn't realised that the old head had gradually deteriorated over time, and should have been changed some 18 months earlier.
I would suggest shopping around on-line as the new price of the genuine Braun cartridge head does vary, and the full retail price can be very expensive. Read full review

Genuine Product at a good price.
I was a bit worried that these were not in the the full Braun blister pack, but they're unused and genuine as far as I can see. They shave as well as one from a blister pack.

New and Good Quality But Doesn't Need replacing Very Often
Having seen my shave come up with its second "18 month warning" I assumed that after 36 months a new foil would be a good idea even though the old one was fine. The replacement is exactly the same as the original but the performance is pretty much identical to the one it replaced. I'll see if it gets any worse after 54 months this time :-)Read full review

Don't buy the copy version
I previously purchased a couple of the copy versions at £10.50 each. They look similar but they do not cut as close but more importantly they both fell apart after a couple of months . This original version cut as good as when I originally purchased the shaver. So save your money and pay a little extra and buy the original version, it will save you money in the long run and also deliver a lot better shave. Read full review
