Great performance, great background on the album's creation.

I had bought the CD when it was first release and thought the album was fairly good, but didn't thin it was as good as some of his earlier music. When I bought this dvd and watched it live, it made me see what a brilliant piece of music rian Wilson had written.Read full review

It's Brian Wilson

It's another masterpiece by an indescribable genius Mr. Brian Wilson. It's sad that all of "HIS" Beach Boy Band deserted him except for Dennis and didn't let him release this album. They were part of the problem that spurred on his serious depression issues. But Brian after a little hesitation..... comes to life and realizes that he and Van Dyke Parks had created some incredibly beautiful and inspiring music and lyrics and finally Brian is free'd of his demons that he had carried along unnecessarily for such a long time. They play the entire album and it is amazing !!!Read full review

A joy

A terrific experience is captured on the DVD, which is well-crafted and has plenty of features.

At the core is the wondrous music of Brian Wilson. Smile, as presented in this version and the followup Smile Sessions, is, simply stated, the best album I've ever heard. And I'm not kidding. Beautiful, unique, and filled with rich music. I love it. Right on.Read full review
