Great way to keep chicks warm
Great bit of kit, a bit pricey, but hoping it will last like our other Brinsea products, so will be good value in the long run. Having moved our current chicks from a heat lamp to the brooder, it feels a much more natural way to keep them warm and they seem to be thriving on it. It should also save us money on electricity - anything that helps at the moment has to be a good thing.Read full review...

I popped it under the heat . Set the height around 4 cm and a few hours later a healthy chick hatched.
The little chick is nearly a week old and loves the brooder .

Although it will accommodate 20 day old chicks, they struggle to fit under it after a week or so and tend to sit on the top. Seems to work either way.
