Works great - print detail is very nice
I have a Win7 system and the wireless set up was reasonably easy.
The 'Deep Sleep' mode is very welcome...the printer stays in a very dormant mode consuming almost no power but it is ready to wake up and print when you send a print job to it. Then for a period of time it stays in the ready mode...then to a semi-sleep mode...then back to deep sleep.
The menu buttons on the top of the machine take a bit to get used to but there are some good option controls there.
I had considered an ink jet but with how long I can go between needing to print documents I didn't want the ink jet nozzles to dry out and clog up. You don't have that issue with laser printers from what I've seen- they can sit unused for weeks and weeks if necessary and then wake up and print just fine. I purchased this one used with most of it's toner capacity still there for under $150 including shipping which I was very pleased with. Since I am a light user I could get years of use before I need to replace the toner cartridges.

Affordable color copies
I recently purchased the Brother HL-3170CDW digital color printer and am very happy with this machine. Easy to set up and run. Print quality and economy is A-1.

Brother Color Laser Printer
Setup was some what difficult with connecting to a home wireless network. In our home we use both Mac and Windows based computers and lap tops. Once setup was accomplished, the Printer has worked perfectly with no issues. Time will tell, how good a printer this one will be.Read full review
