Excellent machine at excellent price

I bought this machine because I wanted a 2nd embroidery machine that could back up my big machine and could also do sewing. My research led me to the brother SE400. This machine was quite expensive in the UK so I purchased it from the USA - even with import charges and delivery it was significantly cheaper than in the UK - I had to purchase a voltage converter because of the different voltages used in the 2 countries but that only added on another £20. The machine exceeds all expectations. It is robust and looks good too. The sewing facility has an extensive range of stitches and feet. The embroidery function is tremendous. It has the facility to take the brother cards but you can also download from the computer directly to the machine via the USB port (this facility is often only on more expensive machines).
