Build the perfect Bug Out Vehicle isn't or at least it wasn't what I was expecting. It's full of information but it doesn't really address what you need to do to retro-fit a vehicle for a bug out vehicle like they do say on Youtube.

It is clearly intended for the American market as there are guns and the such likes and also how to use them where as we aren't able to legally do as there doing in the USA here within the UK.

It tells you about fitting bits and bobs to your motor but it doesn't go into details on how to say setup a kitchen system or a bed system and how to cram loads of storage into a vehicle without actually converting it into a motor home, after all you need somewhere to cook and sleep without having to start setting up camp ever night if your on the move.

I would recommend it as a source of information but the best source of info on say how to convert a vehicle or trailer to a BOV would be to see what others have done on the internet and go from there.

Do I feel it's good quality? Not really. All the pictures are in black and white and the majority of them are small thumbnails and you don't really see any BOV's a part from the one on the front cover and you don't see how that's been converted at all.

Everything within the book is based on new stuff being purchased and nothing actually telling you how to adapt items of hardware to do a certain job or how to makes items in the event you need to make a coupler do a different job than it was intended to do, as none of this stuff will be available if we have a disaster as the shops or hardware stores will have either been destroyed or looted.

My review of this book will be different to the next persons review but you take away what you want from it. For me it has some information which I've found useful but most of my inspiration will come from seeing what others have done on the internet.Read full review
