Did the job great little tool

I have a BMW 318 E46 w reg 2000.
One day while driving all three brake warning lights came on ABS, handbrake etc. Bought this tool hoping to find the fault I had to purchase a extra plug in adapter for mine as it had to be plugged in to the engine compartment round pin port.
Plugged it in followed the easy instructions and it found the fault straight away which was a rear drivers side Abs speed sensor. Bought a new one off eBay for £10. Replaced the faulty one with a new one plugged the scanning tool back in cleared the codes and it cancelled all lights out brilliant little tool saved me a fortune and will do in the future as it can diagnose so many faults.Read full review

Will not update to cover newer models

Tried to update the firmware to cover an F10 BMW as the instructions
Software would not allow update. Further research revealed the problem. This is not the genuine article but a close copy. The genuine manufacturer shows the differences between genuine and copy and explains that the copies can not be upgraded. I wish that I had paid a bit more initially.Read full review

It’s not far off the cost a garage would charge just to look at an EML or airbag light so it was a no brainer to buy one when my airbag light came on. It scans multiple systems so can be used to diagnose almost any electrical gremlin and I’m sure it’ll come in handy again as I have an ageing Z4. Overall, a great bit of kit.Read full review
