Solid piece but slats didn’t fit

My partner and I were desperate for a new bed after sleeping on a terribly uncomfortable one for a long time and suffering constant back aches. I bought this because it looked solid and is made from gorgeous light sheesham wood. I am very happy with the quality of the wood and the way the piece looks, however when it arrived the slats didn’t fit perfectly, and the headboard was a bit warped. Being desperate for a new bed, my partner and I spent hours sanding down the slats to fit into their slots correctly. It was worth it, the bed is very comfy to sleep on and is extremely solid. As of yet, I don’t know if the slight warp of the headboard wood is going to be an issue, but so far it’s not caused us any problems. I haven’t had any back ache since purchasing this bed.
